Classics Spin

The lucky Classics Club Spin number was 14, meaning that I am reading Wings of the Dove by Henry James. Incidentally, it is the classic I was dreading most of all -- but I suppose I should be grateful that it was the one chosen or else I may never have read it at all. And so far, it is a difficult read -- difficult to follow and using many words with which I am unfamiliar (thank you, Kindle dictionary function) -- but also one I am enjoying. So all speed ahead to April 1st -- hopefully I can make it through this chunky chunkster by then.

Ah, at least you'll get the book you're dreading out of the way?

ReplyDeleteI once read the first chapter of Wings of the Dove and can certainly understand why you were dreading it. The dictionary function is certainly a wonder... good luck!
