About Me

Friday, September 07, 2012

I am a 24-year-old super nerd who just moved to Los Angeles. After six years of college and changing my major seven times, I have degrees in neuroscience and nursing. However, my first love (other than the cute guy in the picture next to me and the other cute guy who is due on November 16th) is reading (and that is why we are here).

I am interested in everything, so I read almost everything: literary fiction, young adult, classics, historical fiction, nonfiction (especially medical or scientific), and so on. A few genres that I do not enjoy are romance novels and crime/mystery novels, so if you are offering one of these for review, I will probably say no.

I am currently NOT accepting books for review due to the fact that I am about to have a little buddy who is going to demand most of my time and thus want to focus on the books that are on my TBR list when I do have time to read.

If you have questions about me or my blog, email me at lorrenrichelle@gmail.com.

The Real Story Girl

The real Story Girl is a character in two L.M. Montgomery novels (The Story Girl and The Golden Road). (BTW: Golden Road is absolutely beautiful, one of my favorite books. On the other hand, The Story Girl wasn't my favorite, but you need to read the first to appreciate the second, so give it a chance!) The Story Girl loved to tell stories - not stories she invented herself, but stories she had heard from others. She was not an inventor of stories but a sharer of stories, so I chose her name as my nom de plume.

  1. Love that you named your blog after one of L. M. Montgomery's characters. Anne of Green Gables is one of my all-time favorites. Some bloggy friends keep insisting I need to read The Blue Castle . . . And after reading your bio, I'm amazed you have time to read! Thanks for visiting my site!
